This design innovation doesn’t compromise the ultra-soft, huggable quality Squishmallows are known for. We use the same premium spandex outer material and marshmallow-soft polyester fill in every Stackable. The gently rounded top and flat bottom create natural interlocking points so your towers stay stable whether you’re stacking three friends or building a tower that reaches your ceiling.

Creating a secure Stackables tower starts with choosing a flat, level surface. Place your largest or favorite character at the base, ensuring the flat bottom sits flush against the surface. When adding each subsequent Stackable, center the flat bottom directly over the rounded top of the previous plush, applying gentle downward pressure to seat them together.
For towers exceeding six Stackables, consider the diameter of each character. Placing slightly larger plush at the bottom and gradually smaller ones toward the top creates a natural pyramid effect that’s more stable. Avoid stacking in high-traffic areas where they might get bumped, and keep towers away from table edges.

Most collectors successfully stack 6-10 Stackables depending on character sizes and display surface stability. The flat-bottom design creates secure interlocking, but we recommend considering your base stability and location. For collections of 50 or more Stackables, we suggest creating multiple shorter towers rather than one extremely tall stack, or using our Display Shelf system for stadium-style arrangements that keep every character visible and stable.
Stackables are available in 5-inch and 8-inch sizes, measured by height from flat bottom to top. The 8-inch Stackables have similar volume to classic 8-inch round Squishmallows, but the flat-bottom design makes them slightly taller and less wide. This optimized shape is what allows them to stack securely while maintaining the ultra-soft, huggable quality you expect from every Squishmallow.
Stackables are designed to stack specifically with other Stackables due to their flat-bottom and rounded-top interlocking design. Regular round Squishmallows don't have the flat base needed for secure stacking. However, many collectors display both types together by using Stackables for vertical towers and classic round Squishmallows arranged around the base or on separate shelves for a varied, dynamic collection showcase.
Each Mystery Squad pack contains one 8-inch Stackable from an exclusive character lineup, plus a collector's checklist showing all possible characters in that series. Characters are individually sealed in blind bags, so the specific design is a surprise until you open it. Mystery Squads often feature rare colorways, limited editions, and special effects like metallic finishes that aren't available in regular retail Stackables assortments.
No – our premium polyester fill is engineered to bounce back to its original shape even after extended stacking or compression. The rounded top area that bears weight from stacked plush above is reinforced with slightly denser fill distribution to maintain its curve. If your Stackable ever feels flat, simply squeeze and manipulate it to redistribute the fill, or run it through a gentle wash cycle and air dry to restore full fluffiness.
Stackables are machine washable just like classic Squishmallows. The flat bottom is created by the fill distribution and stitching pattern, not by any internal structure that could be damaged. Wash on gentle cycle in cold water inside a mesh bag, then air dry completely. The flat base will maintain its shape through washing. For best results, gently manipulate the plush while damp to ensure fill is evenly distributed throughout.
